About
A native Southern Californian, Rene Milbery was raised by the ocean by an artistic and free-thinking entrepreneurial family in an environment of interior designers and jazz musicians. She was decorating store windows at 15, and worked under some of the top interior designers in Southern California. Since she played in the tide pools in Cambria and Southern California, she likes elegant designs influenced by nature; hence the use of cultured freshwater pearls, semi-precious stones, and sterling silver to create unusual, one-of-a-kind art pieces that can be worn at an elegant event or award ceremony as well as with casual wear. She has traveled extensively to Europe and the Pacific region, studied art and art history at Cal State Long Beach, and incorporates those elements into her jewelry. Her passion has always been art and fashion.
She started making jewelry in 2003 to combine her love of design, art, and fashion. Every piece she designs is an extension of who Rene is, spiritually, intellectually, and artistically. She wears many of her favorite creations, and her passion gradually turned into a business. Her "Mommy and Me" line of matching necklaces and bracelets for adults and children was featured at trunk shows at Southern California Nordstrom’s. Wearing her designs will enhance the expression of who you are or who you want to be.
